In a long time for me, fished 40+ piles in 5 different areas of the lake (mostly south) for 4 crappie....

that is a lot of piles to cover . Sometimes those finicky
crappie can just be hard to get to hit anything.

Bad thing was I just didn't see that many crappie..... I've heard the bite was tough on several lakes so I'm guessing it was something special with that full moon phase we had.....

All the fish are in the deepest water now that the temp is at or below 50

That's been said for years but I find my best bite in 8 to 12fow even when the water temp was 49° on one of my recent trips.....
