I just want to say thank y’all for sharing your knowledge on here, don’t be surprised if a guy in a yellowish green flats skiff offers you a beer while out fishing.
I mostly like fishing saltwater marshs with a fly rod but I just have to say crappie hold a strong dear place in my heart. My best memories as a kid were sitting on a boat dock with my dad after midnight watching my bobber and hoping a crappie would take it under. I’ve never owned a boat till recently and I live only 5 minutes from the Lake so it kind of a no-brainer to want to fish it.just got myself a couple 10’ Shakespear Crappie Hunters paired with the Lews Wally Marshall reels. I have to say I’m pretty impressed with them and they are worth taking a look at. Though I have not fished them hard yet.
Well thanks again and I look forward to posting something beneficial or entertaining.

Welcome to the site Mr. Brown!

Launch at Ponderosa and head for the mouth of the bayou and work your way back up the creek. Look for brush in about 10 feet of water plus/minus. When you find a good pile, drop down a jig and HANG ON!!

I'm in a 14' flat bottom with a Yamaha on the back. Look forward to seeing you on the water!! And like Dobby said, join the tournaments!! They're a ton of fun and a great way to meet more guys on this board and BS.
