SEPT & OCT ARE THE MONTHS FOR BUTTERNUT SQUASH.

1 squash cut in half length wise.

water

salt & pepper

brown sugar.

place squash in a 9x13 inch pan cut side

down pour water around the squash enough to give

about 1/4 inch deep.

put in a 350 deg. oven cook about 1-1/2 hour till tender

keep checking after about 1 hour.

once tender you can peel it. It should be very easy ,

cut it up and mash the squash add salt and pepper to taste.

this goes great with fish tacos . or beef steaks and such.

if you want a little sweeter for pork chops .

add mashed up squash to baking dish sprinkle with

2 table spoons brown sugar put in oven under the broiler

till caramelized enjoy.
