Today you can watch it in real world fishing on Bass Master Live as Ott Defoe will be using it on his boat and he will have a camera boat with him today in the derby. He is fishing at the spillway in 15-20 fow and you can watch him fish and not fight the trolling motor when he turns the spot lock on and he gets to fish as the trolling motor keeps his boat locked on spot. Watched him fish yesterday with it and it is better then any u-tube video as it is in real time and very impressed with the boat control it displayed.

Go to Bass Master page and hit live today and it starts at 7:30 am CT

new add:
Just watched Ott win and interview and he was using the new Minn Kota that is coming out later this year or 1st of year and was not the MG-Xi5 and it looked like the real deal holding his boat in the wind and current he was fishing in.

They need different version of tm's for different fisherman.....
Bass, cat & bream guys don't need the accuracy that us crappy fisherman do....
Tell'em to through a marker out so we can really see how that tm perform....
I have heard & read that the xi5 is an improvment over i-pilot but I think there's serious room for more improvement....

Some go fishn, me I go catchn & always feed'um a jig....May your jigs or minnas stay wet.....

update: it is not a Ott is using as just heard Davy Hite say it is a new prototype that he is testing for motor guide and was wondering how he had the motor on a gator mount with the pull rope. It looks to be good for fishing as wgen he catches one he can hit spot lock and stay in the spot while he takes the fish off hook, weigh it and cull a fish, so may not be for crappie but bass fishing with a bigger fishing area would make it worth while for those without power poles or throwing a anchor out in deeper water.

IT was the new Minn Kota motor and it looked great staying on spot lock

I have the Minn Kota Power Drive V2 - the 24V 70lb model. I can get the iPilot for it for $440+- $10. I've been watching the videos and trying to justify the $$$. I guess I need to just go ahead and spend my allowance money,
