the 2-cycle motor in your boat likely requires either a 40:1 or a 50:1 mix of gasoline to oil. If you don't have an owner's manual or anything for the motor, try and look up the motor on the internet (google it) and find the proper ratio.

For a 40:1 mix, it's about 95ml (~3.2oz) of 2-cycle oil added to every gallon of fuel.

For a 50:1 mix, it's about 76ml (~2.6oz) of 2-cycle oil added to every gallon of fuel.

3 ounces to a gallon

16 ounces to a 6 gallon tank.

that is for 2 cycle engines

Also make sure you get marine oil. Usually it will call out a TCW-3 rating.

Don't use weedeater/chain saw oil in a marine application.
