today just can not seem to get out of the bayou for all of the fish biting there.
first thing this morning could not get bit on the blue/truse I caught fish on Monday
when i was up there last. So called Jw to see what he was catching on because i
think he had been catching on blue also . He said he only had one hit at the time.
so i started going through colors . caught 2 fish on black grape/ truse. Then finally
caught one on blue/truse finally started catching all my fish on the blue truse. Think i just
was not on fish at the time. I think the fish will hit any color today just getting the bait in
front of the fish. Some fish were popping the jig pretty hard others . You never felt them
pick it up. Lost about 8 fish right off the bat because they were barely hooked in the edge of
lip and was breaking loose as i tried to swing them aboard in stead of getting the net under them.
finished the day with 21 keepers in the boat . Had 7 fish of the 21 that were 15 inches or over.
would have made a good tournament weight . So Tournament fishermen there are still good
fish to be had in the bayou. Water clearing back to old houston color.
