I haven't been on the lake in a few years, I'm going to put the boat in the water hopefully this weekend and try and get some catfish. Any tips on where the are now and what's everyone using?

The catfish are all over the lake....just leave the bayou to the crappie guys. Try fishing deep. If that does not work then try fishing shallow. With the cool water temps, they may be moving into shorelines with afternoon sunshine. Blues tend to stay suspended over deeper water when the water temp is cold like now. Good luck.

At the dam at lake Houston. Launch at good times marina and go left about half a mile to the dam. And tear up all day there

They have a consumption ban on the fish at the dam. Because of the pollution in the water there.

But there is not a ban in the main lake .
