fish but only had 6 keepers for my effort had 21 keepers yesterday

but the big boys just did not seem to want the play. not sure

if the east wind and high pressure had an effect on the bigger fish

but the little ones were still biting good black/chart , white /chart . brown/

Sounds as if you guys are having some real "crappie" days...good on ya. I have heard catfish are the fastest breeders. From all the reports, would you say crappie come in a close second?

Kc i went down towards the mouth of the bayou thinking

i would find bigger fish but only caught one little dink down there

the water was more off color farther down. I study and study these

fish and their movements and patterns. But at times they make

you wonder if you know anything about them. They have been

wanting the jig swimming for a week or so now . But yesterday

they were probably tighter to the brush piles because of the high pressure

I did pick up a few fish jigging piles but did not spend a lot of time

on piles yesterday.I didn't keep any fish under 11 inches only had one at

12 inches nothing bigger.

weatherman by this lake houston stocking report they have

never stocked any crappie in the lake . all the crappie in

there has came from natural spawning . So the crappie

are fairly big breeders as are the cats.

crappie have a average lifespan of 4 years as cat fish is 12 to 14 years.
