42.5 was the full pool depth before they lowered the lake last week.
Now.... They are showing full pool at 41.7.... And the lake is, therefore, “above pool” at current level of 41.95 instead of being below pool by .65....
Are they playing games????

They plan to keep it low until the dredging of the West fork is completed. Then they will have a reduced pool level in the spring and fall there after is what I read.

This article covers the seasonal reduced pool topic.

another example of them saying one thing today and doing something else tomorrow...

Is there a site that depicts how much the gates are actually open or closed? then we can watch to see if they are draining or filling based on the gates...

from what i deduct from the water levels, they have closed the gates and are not draining anything right now. the lake is full and has been full for over 2 days.

Several years ago ( I moved here in 2014) when the lake was level full, according to water at our bulkhead and others piers, I called and ask why the lake was appearing full yet the lake level chart show 1.250' feet low. The gentleman I talked to looked at the elevation data after they had recently been doing some elevation work on or near the dam and he found an error and confirmed the full pool lake level should be 41.70 feet and he corrected the data immediately while I was on the phone with him. It has shown 41.70 sense then. I even told Sticko about this after it happened.
This is true to the best of my knowledge.

I remember seeing it in the Chronicle as 46 in the 90’s and then 44, and now 42.5 per Dave Martins office.
So.... I can’t tell you how or where the pool is by looking at my dock...
It depends on the decade....

Was cleaning out a closet and came across some deed restrictions on the lake that referred to the full pool of LH as 44.5; back in the 60’s....
so, it has gone down...

I think it was just below 42 so it was .5 low.
Or was it .7 high?
Oh, it must have been 2’ low???
Or maybe it was ....
Oh, hell....
I don’t think anyone knows anymore.
So let’s dredge and hook up to the Trinity...

Lake Houston; first catch and release lake in Texas...
