Just drove by and right before RR tracks is a county sign that reads '"Edgewater Park" so what park personnel at J Jones told me a few years ago is true, they are building a park there! Finally a ramp on the river!! Cant find any plans or anything and wonder what they will plan since they know it will flood and float off anything not anchored into the ground. I just hope they do it right.

Do you think it will be tied into the greenbelt along Spring Creek? I believe Commissioner Cagle mentioned that a couple years ago. Did anyone tell you they are putting in a boat ramp? I mean, logically, I would expect that, but we are talking about our government and logic in one sentence.

JJones has a pontoon that they put in Spring Creek for tours that they told me is stored....2 hrs away ( typical govt/county here) I would imagine this would be an opportunity to store it over there, plus there is a ramp there now sort of. Its a concrete hump with a drop off, surely worse since Harvey but I have not put in there in over 2-2.5 yrs. See some trailers there from time to time, but not sure of size of craft.

I think it may be a hub or starting point more or less for the Spring Creek Trails on the E side is what I am thinking. Plus a place to launch kayaks. Last I heard at JJones you can only take out or put in, which is odd.

10-4 on all that. But are we assuming they will build or improve the ramp? Has someone told you about the ramp being built?

Drove by today, they brush hogged the whole site there. I called and got a planning guy on the phone and they told me they are still developing plans but they are putting a boat launch in, closer to 59 than the current one, parking for trucks with trailers, and restrooms. They bought 86 acres total, that spot there is 19, they also bought E of the RR tracks and the wetland N of Hamblen. Said it will be at least a year or so. Bet that will be usable before River Grove at this point@@
