What trees should we shake to prompt a stocking due to the draw down last week? I know the bass and crappie were in full swing and beds were left high and dry for 24hrs.

What’s done is done, but our spawn was greatly affected. if there is someone we should contact to promote a stocking, please post any contacts here so we can reach out.

that is why we pay these high fishing licenses fees for the nursery to raise
fry to restock but do we ever see any of the returns. goes for some $100
a plate luncheon for some politician.

Thanks Sticko.

Ashamed to say I did not know about Lake Houston Sportsman Society. I will definitely be contributing to that cause as well as reaching out to Dave Martins office.

We are supposed to be getting some Florida Strain fingerlings this year. Not sure of when or how many but it was mentioned at one of the LH Anglers Club Meetings. With all the flooding that occurred not sure any drawdown at this point is gonna make much difference but that's just my two cents and it aint worth a dime!!!!!!! Probably lost as many fish over the dam as any that would have been left high and dry.

You are probably right, but maybe we gained some replacements out of conroe! :D

The lake definitely has taken a couple blows this year!

That certainly brings up a very good question. When they dropped the lake 2.5 feet they left the crappie and bass beds high and dry in the main lake coves. There is no counting the billions of fish eggs destroyed, and those that hadn't spawned may not....

Now that the lake is at normal pool or just above, the main lake is awful looking and not clearing up like it should....the best water that I have seen is in Luces Bayou...as of last Thursday
