A couple buddies and I spent time last Saturday exploring the big swampy island area between the East and West fork just south of the Royal Shores neighborhood. The jet and push pole got a good workout. I noticed around one of the islands there appeared to be a lot of panel type fencing of small squares around vegetation and other similar types of fencing out in the water. Anybody know what that is about? I was thinking maybe fencing out nutria or something like that but the presence of vegetation on the island doesn't indicate that is a problem. I thought I took some pics but I can't find them right now.

Houston sportsmen society has been planting grasses in the lake to help clear the lake up
not sure if those fences are part of their project.

There were a bunch on the N side of the Mckay bridge on the otherside of the E/W cut for a while. Surely not the #;s I have seen them in on Conroe, but I did see some there. We could use about 500 more!!!!
