I have tried power pro but after a little use it gets very bad about wrapping around the end of
the pole when setting the hook. and tangling badly.

Ahhh, never have come up against that issue yet, but with the super slick it tends to get a little 'fuzzy' after a while, especially in heavier brush. I just cut 2-3 feet of line off and retie periodically.

If it starts becoming a problem I might just want to take a look at the Fireline.

The other lines tangling on the rod tips is a BIG problem on long rods.... not as bad on shorter rods....
