Made the maiden voyage in my new boat today. Put in at Dunnams and ran up and down the East Fork breaking in the motor and getting everything calibrated, programmed, etc. Stayed in the East Fork just because wind was blowing hard on lake and I know the channel much better. After that picked up my wife and kid at East End Park and we ran half way up Caney Creek. Could have gone further but my son just wanted to play on the sand bars and was mad when I wouldnt stop. Took him home for nap after that.

First my apologies to the 2 boats set up crappie fishing at the north end of East End that I had to idle in on. I normally never would have done that but my wife is horrible at directions and went to the wrong beach. She finally got mad and made me come find her with Find my Phone.

Entire East Fork and Caney Creek was muddy as expected. The one time I looked at the temp gauge it read 63F.

Test run went good for the most part. Found loose wire on trolling motor and got on a sand bar while I was trying to fix it. Sucked a pine cone at the end up in my jet that was just small enough to get through the grate but to large to pass jet. Going forward Ill probably just idle in and out of Dunnams on my TM as that creek is full of debris.
