Well I fished the tourney and had a good time. I think we got last place or second to last but atleast I have a good exuse and that is my motor broke down and I had to be towed back to the marina by a friend.

We cought 3 keepers before I broke down and I also lost a few and I cought 2 throw backs. It was kinda enbarresing only having 3 fish at the way in but oh well, you live and learn.

When we got back to the marina it started pouring rain.

Over all we had a good time and would like to do it again. :D

Sorry to hear your motor went kaput.

How bad was the damage?

How did the other stringers at the tourny look?

Well I dont know how many fish everybody else cought but I do know that most people did get there 7, but I do know that the winner cought around 20, most of them being small.
About my motor, I think it is about to throw a rod, I dont know that for a fact but it was going "tink tink tink" and it slowed down quiet a bit so I just quite before I did anymore damage.

Darn....man I am sorry to hear about your boat. At least you finished the tourney....that was a tough day to go fishing with the rain and all....props for going through with it.

If you PM me what your budget is I will ask around and let you know if I bump into a good deal.

Just so all of ya know, I got me another motor.
It is a 1970s merc. 20hp elec. start. I got it for 200 bucks and it is in good shape. I did not crank it but I did take it to the shop to get it tuned up checked out and a new water pump put in it. I think it will run good cause it was obviouse that it did not have much time on it at all.

When I get it back I should have a Jim Dandy little motor, and if I dont, well then I guess Im just screwd cause I dont have anymore money to buy another one. And if it does turn out to be a piece of junk then I think I can get my money back by parting it out.

If your motor does not work let me know. I have room in my boat. I go fishing almost every Wednesday and Thursday out of Houston Marina.
