even he has calmed up.
But right now i know he is getting ready for hunting.

I made a late evening run out on the lake for a couple hours, couldn't fish where I wanted due to the wind howling.....
The mouth of the east fork looks totally different and the mouth of the bayou has changed a lot also.....
In my opinion there's almost just as many trees in the lake as it was from Harvey and just as much sand has move......
I have always wanted to live on the lake but at this time I wouldn't consider it......
I'm sure the lake is going to claim more homes with as much erosion is happening in several areas.....
I wanted to go check out the main lake but time didn't allow......
I did set the hook on 8 keeper crappie....

I would never consider a home on THIS lake with all the issues. It is really taking a beating and its worse than ever.

Good point two Sticko, no one posts reports really.

Has not been much to report on lately, I have been going out once a week and between the rain and muddy water I have not been doing anything. a few small ones and maybe five or six good keepers. But I have checked all the areas out since last flood so I know how to run the river and byou.

even that is a good report for some of us that have a hour and a half
drive to get to the lake . I love to fish but when it is that slow sometimes
i don't want to waste the money on gas for truck and boat.

I fished yesterday the first drop i caught one
14 1/4 inches i told myself this is going to be a good day. Two hours
later i caught my second fish it was a throw back. only caught 5 fish
all day and had 2 keepers. The crappie are moving up into the creeks
from the main lake. saw lot of fish on the graph but they must be full of shad.
every now and then one would take a bite. I was not able to find fish holding
on the piles but would catch them working between piles. Long line or
spider rig may work better with the fish moving need to cover more water.
fish showing at 7 feet down. first fish i caught 11 feet down last three came
6 feet down. pink black truse , white chart , grey were working some.

At least you got to get out and give’um a whirl.........

The water is very dirty in all the areas I went to when I was out......I did record that trip but I’m not sure I’ll edit it......

I am a bass guy primarily but some of my old saltwater yak guys are taking me under their wing ( like they did when I started saltwater yakkin) and showing me the ropes. I will be spending most of the upcoming weekends with them it seem now after this trip. They have been hammering them for a few weeks now and I although I have minnows in the tank here at home, I jig fished with them and gained a lot of confidence. I plan to watch some SK vids tomorrow now since its going to be cold and get some tips. These guys spider rigged and fished holes and trees but they really knew their stuff.

Yes sir I got it out three weeks ago for some flounder and took it out again. Very versatile, until you have to pee!!! But I got a 14ft jon that I take as well from time to time. Lot easier to pee and not cramped. I have a small TM for it and a winch to get it up steep banks. It goes everywhere a yak will ( limited range with a battery) and a lot of times I scope out a place in the yak then take the jon so my daughter can go, much safer.
