Last 3 years were dismal for whites, we never got into them at all last year and barely last two years. Hope it STAYS cold for a while and we get a good rain of 3-4 a couple of times before years end, that should get them going, hopefully!

I have caught some huge white bass this fall. I ran into a school of small ones last Saturday in the bayou. The larger ones have been on the main lake in 6-8ft of water.

We launched at Dunham Sunday chasing whites/crappies. Got to first spot over by the " Dr house" if you will and dropped TM, would not work. Think water got in it headed to G&S today, hope its not too painful. We fished a few more spots up there with nothing to show and decided to try to make it to Peach/Caney. Big mistake, first we did not even make it within site of the power lines and got to a spot too shallow to go further. Tried 4-5x and might have made it with TM. But there are 3-4 sandbars in dead middle of the creek now that were not there, used to run that all the way to the power lines. Drifted back and let Emory play on a couple of those nice sandy beaches. Then went to one other spot and caught on male WB.

We also tried to access Peach/Caney from L Houston park Sat and where canoe launch is, whole are changed and you cannot walk the N bank all the way to the split now due to fallen trees, no other trail cut either. That spot looks ruined now also.

I have posted on some other sites that CyCreek is being cleaned, hydroaxed and debris removed. E of the Cypresswood bridge, and they just started heading W. Not sure how far they went E, or plan to go W, but you can see GC from Cypresswood bridge now. 3 barges and a 210 excavator there Sat morning.
