From just enough light to where you can see to cast to about an hour after daylight you do best with a small buzz bait (white) or a ribbit frog (weightless) throw around the lilly pads and parallel to the banks, Remember do not set the hook intil you feel the fish pull back. Bass like the shady areas. After daylight try a weightless or a 16th oz weight texas rigged and fish slow and just twich the bait. Cast it into the open pockets of the lilly pads. Bass do go very far because of day light. They do move a little deeper or go to cover (shade, under lilly pads, docks, logs etc.)

GOOD Luck!

Happy Independence Day!

Marine is right on with what he is telling you.
it is hot and the bass are looking for the shade during the heat of the day.
They will move shallow to feed early in the morning and late in the afternoon.

As marine said top water lures early and late and worms or cranks during the day on the shady side of things. use light weight on worms and smaller 4 inch worms and small #1 hooks during the hot summer and shake the worms more than pulling them. crawl them across the pads or grass dropping into the openings.

one place you may catch some from the bank is up hwy 2100 past Huffman by the bridge i see people walk the bank there and there are a few trees down, stumps and tree roots in the area you can fish around.

Hey Sticko! Havn't talked to you in a while. Hope everything is OK. I have not been on the water in a while since I sold my boat. I am waiting on my other boat to come in. With-in a week or so. I am ready to get back to the water, fight the heat and fish.
